Education: Graduated from Rogers High School in 1995. Started an associate degree in fine art but left school for a position with AmeriCorps.

Work experience: Worked with the Lands Council as program outreach director from 2003 to 2008. Worked with Futurewise as the Eastern Washington program director from 2006 to 2021. Worked briefly as a Pilates instructor. Volunteers at the Women and Children’s Free Restaurant.

Political experience: Was a finalist for an appointment to the City Council in 2014, though Councilwoman Karen Stratton was selected for the position. Has served on the Washington State Cooper Jones Active Transportation Safety Council, the Spokane Regional Transportation Council Board, the City of Spokane Planning Commission Transportation Advisory Committee, the City of Spokane Infill Steering Committee, the Spokane County Shoreline Advisory Group, the Spokane County Water Advisory Group, the City of Spokane Shoreline Steering Committee, the City of Spokane Valley Shoreline Advisory Group, and the Community Assembly Pedestrian Transportation and Traffic Committee. Served as president of the Spokane Regional Food Policy Council.

Family: Married to Rick Eichstaedt. Two children.

Political donations: Reported to have raised more than $67,700 as of Oct. 5. Klitzke also has loaned her campaign about $6,100. Top donors include Sharon Smith and Don Barbieri of the Smith-Barbieri Progressive Fund and the Spokane Firefighters Union Political Action Committee. She has also received donations from mayoral candidate Lisa Brown and the Washington state Democratic Central Committee.
