Education: Graduated from Cascade High School in Cascade, Montana. Graduated from Spokane Community College with an associate degree in respiratory therapy.

Work experience: Worked as a respiratory therapist at Deaconess Hospital for 40 years. Served as the president of the Respiratory Care Society of Washington, coordinator of the Better Breathers Club and as a delegate for the American Association for Respiratory Care. Volunteers at Second Harvest Food Bank.

Political experience: A member of the Spokane Human Rights Commission.

Family: One adult son and adult daughter-in-law.

Political donations: Raised over $70,700 as of Oct. 5. Top donors include Mark and Pamela Walker of Walker’s Furniture, the Washington Association of Realtors PAC, and various other real estate and developer interests.
