From the Promenade, walk under the rainbow arch, a large artwork functioning as the gateway to McEuen Park. From 92 proposals, the city picked New Mexico artist Howard Meehan’s “Under the Rainbow,” featuring interlaced, color-changing cables strung between two pillars rising 30 feet in the air. Check it out at night when lights illuminate the cables. All lights in the park are the efficient LEDs and can automatically be dimmed overnight.
