Davenport man injured in car crash Saturday afternoon in Grant County

A 47-year-old Davenport man was taken to the hospital Saturday afternoon with injuries he received in a car crash near Elmer City, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Eric Cassidy was driving north on State Route 155 when his Hyundai sedan left the roadway and down an embankment around 4:20 p.m. The car struck the base of a driveway and was launched 30 feet before coming to rest on the driver’s side after rolling, according to a WSP news release. 

Cassidy faces charges of driving under the influence, according to a news release. He was taken to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane for treatment. 

Cassidy was wearing a seatbelt. He was the only person injured in the crash, according to the news release.
