The Spokane chapter of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants has elected its 2019 board of directors. The new members are directors Iveth Canales Kuhn, Phuong Walters and Jim Livingston.

Banking

The board of directors of Mountain West Bank has appointed Scott Atkison as director of the company. Atkison has been president of Bennett Asset Management since 2017 and served as president and CEO of Idaho Forest Group from 2008-2017.

Finance

RBC Wealth Management has hired Aubrey Kubik as a financial adviser at the company’s Spokane branch. Kubik has more than 10 years of experience in the financial industry.

Health

The medical office of Dr. Donald F. Condon and Family Care Spokane have hired Kelsey E. Pruitt as a certified physician assistant. Pruitt graduated from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences with a Master of Science in physician assistant studies in 2018.

Law

David P. Gardner, a principal with Winston & Cashatt Lawyers, has been elected Spokane County Bar Association president for 2019-20. Gardner’s practice emphasizes debtor-creditor issues, and he serves as a panel trustee for the United States Trustee office.

Nonprofit

Spokane Housing Ventures has named John Craig chief financial officer of the statewide nonprofit community housing organization. Craig is a senior financial executive with more than 25 years of nonprofit experience, including 16 years at Inland Northwest Health Services. He also served for 18 years on the Spokane YMCA Board.

Honors

Gibby Media Group Inc. received two National Telly Awards, including a Silver Telly for BSA Friends of Scouting Inland Northwest Council for diversity and inclusion and a National Telly Award for the Spokane Symphony for nonprofit charitable. The Telly Awards honor excellence in video and television across all screens and is judged by leaders from television, streaming networks, production companies and video platforms.

Orchard Crest Retirement and Assisted Living is a 2019 recipient of the bronze commitment to quality award presented by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living. The program honors association members across the country for demonstrating commitment to improving the lives of residents through quality care.
