Fresh Sheet: It’s time for Wine, Stein and Dine
Sure, there’s dessert and appetizers – both hot and cold – but, as the name suggests, the highlight of this event goes in your glass.
About 400 people are expected to attend the annual Wine, Stein and Dine fundraiser for the Post Falls Education Foundation. Attendees must be 21 and older.
Tickets are $45 per person and include a wine glass or beer stein. More than 85 vendors will sample beer, wine and hard cider as well as appetizers and sweets. The event also features live music, a silent auction, photo booth and raffle. It takes place from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Greyhound Park and Events Center, 5100 Riverbend Ave. in Post Falls.

Barrels and Brews
The Spokane Home and Garden Show introduces its latest addition: Barrels and Brews.
The event is hosted by the Spokane Home Builders Association, which encourages attendees to make it a “date night” and browse booths while sipping beer or wine.
Featured wineries and breweries include Latah Creek Wine Cellars, Townshend Cellar, Whitestone Vineyard, Orlison Brewing, River City Brewing and Waddell’s Brewing.

Barrels and Brews, part of the 41st annual Spokane Home and Garden Show, runs from 5 to 8 p.m. March 10 at the Spokane Convention Center, 334 W. Spokane Falls Blvd.
Sausage feed
Uniontown is hosting its 64th annual Sausage Feed on Sunday.
This all-you-can-eat event includes sausage made from a secret recipe by community members as well as mashed potatoes, sauerkraut, green beans, applesauce, rolls and pie.
The event also includes a beer garden for guests 21 and over as well as live music.
Started in 1954, the Sausage Feed raises funds to maintain the Community Building. Recently, energy-efficient heating systems and new kitchen equipment were installed. Up next: refurbishing the façade.
The feast runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the building, located 16 miles south of Pullman on Highway 195. Tickets are only available at the door. They are $12 for adults, $8 for children 6 to 12 and $2 for children under 6.

Crimson and Clover
Clover Restaurant is hosting a dinner with Crimson Wine Group.
The dinner features six courses, eight wines and special guest Bryan Rollins. Courses include lobster panna cotta with caviar and fried parsnip, beet-cured salmon with crispy nettles, tea-smoked duck breast with black trumpet mushroom puree, and chocolate fruit cake with zinfandel caramel.
