Fresh Sheet: Clover Club

Clover, the fine dining restaurant located in a renovated Craftsman-style house in the University District, has started a dining club.

Benefits include reserved seating at all of its 2017 special events: six wine dinners, three beer dinners and its annual crab boil on the patio.

Other benefits of the new Clover Club include an invite to a year-end members-only wine dinner with the chef as well as admittance to one Clover culinary class. Plus, members also get to reserve a seat for a guest at a 10 percent discount as well as receive 10 percent off all regular dining experiences and catering throughout the year.

Arbor Crest dinner

Arbor Crest Wine Cellars and Clover are teaming up to host a wine dinner Wednesday night.

The $95 dinner pairs Arbor Crest wines with six courses from Clover, such as 2014 Cadillac Cabernet Sauvignon with cold-smoked king salmon and the 2013 Farrington Malbec with chocolate-raspberry Italian-style custard, foie gras caramel and cashew brittle.

Orlando’s reopens

The student-run restaurant at Spokane Community College opens Wednesday for winter quarter.

Themed weeks – Classic French, Latin/Caribbean, Asian/Pacific Rim and Mediterranean – are planned. There’s a special brunch buffet March 8 and popular Bistro Dinner on March 9. The final buffet is March 21.

The restaurant is located in Building 1 on the SCC campus at 1810 N. Greene St. The hours are 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.

‘Take some more tea’

Gaiwan Tea House is accepting reservations for its Mad Hatter Night on Monday.

Two Ginger Chefs will be catering the event, featuring a six-course dinner with rabbit, oysters on the half shell and more.
