Classes and workshops

Linocut Block Printing at the Dahmen Barn Moscow artist Laurel Macdonald will offer a Christmas-themed linocut block printing workshop for students ages 14 and older, with no previous experience required. Glassblowing workshop The Dahmen Barn will host a beginning workshop at the Sky River Glass Studio in Clarkston for students ages 18 and older. Dec. 6, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. $125/person, supplies included. Spokane Arts Commission The Spokane Arts Commission is accepting applications to fill 6 vacancies beginning in January. Arts Commissioner’s responsibilities consist of a three-year term and attendance to commission meetings on the fourth Tuesday of each month. In addition, each commissioner has the opportunity to sit on committees designated for specific projects. Coeur d’Alene Arts Commission The Coeur d’Alene Arts Commission is seeking artists for a piece of artwork to recognize the culture and history of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, inspiration for higher learning, reflect the history and formation of our community, and portray the diverse groups that created our city, to be installed along the Centennial Trail in the Education Corridor. Artist proposals are due by 5 p.m. on Jan. 9. Application packets are available online at www.cdaid.org or the Coeur d’Alene City Hall, 710 E.
