“Too Hot to Handle” - A special fundraiser for the Dahmen Barn’s commercial kitchen. Resident artists, friends from the community and talented board members created several hundred unique hotpads that will make their debut at the Ninth Annual Holiday Gift Gala, then will be for sale through the gift shop following the event as long as they last. Some hotpads are artistic creations, others follow traditional patchwork or a country theme and still others appeal to WSU and UI fans. Also, locally made specialty foods in addition to fine art and fine crafts, plus books and DVDs by Palouse authors will be for sale. Christmas Tree Elegance - A raffle of 18 unique prize packages – each of which includes a themed, custom-decorated tree and can include gift certificates, items and cash. Make-A-Wish Season of Wishes Holiday Wine Tasting and Auction - This event benefits the Spokane branch of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Alaska and Washington. This year’s goal is to raise $15,000, which will allow three wishes to be granted to local children suffering from life-threatening medical conditions. Seating times are at 6-7:30 p.m. or 7:30-9 p.m. During the course of the meal, guests will be invited to sample four wines and a dessert.
