Babysitting Basics – Course for youth ages 10-15 to prepare them with the skills they need to be a successful babysitter. Class covers topics such as: how to care for infants, toddlers and older children; CPR and first aid for infants and children; discipline issues; safety; and business basics. Feel Better Class – Spine and posture expert Dr. Timothy Price will lead a thirty-minute low intensity workout/stretch class and will also provide supplies. Breastfeeding Basics – Course designed to help mothers have their most successful breastfeeding experience. Introduction to Herbal Medicine Making Workshop Series – Hands-on, beginner level class provides practical skills in herbal medicine making for a variety of applications. Summer Herbal Medicine Class: July 9, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Class covers St. John’s Wort and other herbs in season. Participants make tinctures and oils, pick edible salad flowers and make a simple skin salve. Cost is $25. Camp Fun in The Sun – July 24-30. A camp for children living with diabetes. Nationally recognized by the American Camping Association. Campers have a chance to spend time with other children who also have diabetes while having fun learning to live with diabetes and balance their daily activities. Scholarships are available.
