Classes and workshops

Corbin Art Center Classes - Treasure Adventure Camp – For ages 6-11. Children solve clues and organize a search party to locate the treasure. Today, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., $29. Greencastle Soap Company Classes – Beginning Soap Making: Design your own fragrance and take home more than three pounds of soap. Friday, 7-9 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m.-noon. Cost is $45 for each two-part class, equipment and supplies included. Open Studio Soap Making Session – April 9, 6 p.m.; soap is provided, participants bring their favorite fragrance, additives and colors. Technical assistance will be available, but this is not a class. Cost is $45, which includes six pounds of soap. Advanced Soap Making: Explore the world of soap and color. Spokane Convention Center Art Project – The Public Facilities District Board and Spokane Arts Committee will commission an artist or artist team to create a work to enhance the site improvements at the Spokane Convention Center – Group Health Exhibit Hall. Manhole Cover Student Design Contest – The Spokane Arts Commission and the City of Spokane Wastewater Management are seeking decorative designs with local themes for manhole covers to be placed throughout the city. Artists must be citizens of Spokane and age 18 or younger. Selected artists will receive $100 and their design on manhole covers in Spokane for up to 50 years. One Act Play Festival – Pend Oreille Players Association is seeking original one-act plays to be produced at the Pend Oreille Playhouse Community Theatre.
