The picture is getting muddier

Chris Brown (Associated Press / The Spokesman-Review)

Even as Chris Brown was going on YouTube to say he’s “not a monster,” a photographer was suing the R&B singer, saying Brown’s bodyguards beat him as he tried to take pictures at a gym.

The suit filed Wednesday claims Robert Rosen was assaulted as he snapped photos of Brown and friends on a basketball court May 13 – roughly a month after the singer’s arrest for allegedly assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna.

Brown, 20, has pleaded not guilty. A hearing is scheduled June 22 to determine if there’s enough evidence to continue the case.

A judge Thursday denied a motion by Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, to gain acccess to police records, including an investigation of who leaked an evidence photo of the bruised Rihanna.

Geragos called Rosen’s suit “a specious and frivolous lawsuit by one of the paparazzi seeking publicity and a payday.”

In a video posted on YouTube, Brown talks about his new album, “Graffiti,” then leans into the camera and says: “Everybody that’s haters, they just been haters. All my real fans, I love you. I ain’t a monster.”

How low can he go?

Lindsay Lohan’s troubled father has been charged with making a threatening phone call to his girlfriend.

Prosecutors say Michael Lohan threatened to kill himself and 34-year-old Erin Muller if she left him.

He was released from prison in 2007 after serving nearly two years for attempted assault and driving while intoxicated.

Nagra delivers, Brady passes

On the celebrity baby beat, “ER” actress and “Bend It Like Beckham” star Parminder Nagra is a new mom, welcoming a son, Kai David Singh Stenson, with husband James Stenson.

But New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady says there’s no baby on the way for him and his supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen.

“One is enough,” said Brady, who has a son with actress Bridget Moynahan.
