Swift’s fast track continues

Taylor Swift has won just about every top music award there is this year.

But the possibility of taking home eight Grammys had the 19-year-old screaming for joy as nominations were announced.

“I honestly never would have predicted this … I’m ecstatic, and blown away and so so thankful,” she said Wednesday.

Swift’s eight nominations was second only to Beyonce, who had 10. The Black Eyed Peas, Maxwell and Kanye West received six nominations each, while Jay-Z, Lady Gaga and DJ David Guetta got five.

Album of the year nominees are Beyonce’s “I Am … Sasha Fierce”; Swift’s “Fearless”; Lady Gaga’s “The Fame”; Black Eyed Peas’ “The E.N.D.”; and Dave Matthews Band’s “Big Whiskey and the Groogrux King.”

The awards will be presented Jan. 31 in Los Angeles.

ABC idles Lambert

Adam Lambert, in hot water with ABC for his provocative performance at the American Music Awards, has had two more network appearances canceled.

The “American Idol” runner-up, dumped from “Good Morning America” after the AMA flap, says he’s also been booted by “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and “New Years’ Rockin’ Eve.”

But he remains one of Barbara Walters’ “Most Fascinating People of 2009” in a special airing next Wednesday on ABC.

Rock and a hard place

The Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood was released on bail Thursday after being arrested for possible domestic assault.

The arrest comes on the heels of his highly publicized divorce last month after he started dating a young Russian woman.
