Area roundup: Cardinals blank CCS

Jared Bork had a goal and an assist and the North Idaho Cardinals dominated the first half en route to a 3-0 victory over the Community Colleges of Spokane Sasquatch in a men’s soccer match on Wednesday in Coeur d’Alene.

Bork staked the Cardinals (4-0) to a 1-0 lead just 1 minute, 6 seconds into the match and assisted on a goal by David Powers in the eighth minute. Cole Abramson capped NIC’s scoring with a goal in the 36th minute on an assist from Zach Yeager.

North Idaho outshot the Sasquatch (3-1-1) 18-7.
