Turkoglu, Lewis lead Orlando past Portland

Hedo Turkoglu scored 21 points and Rashard Lewis had 20 and the Orlando Magic beat the Portland Trail Blazers 85-74 Monday night at Portland to become the first NBA team to win 13 games this season.

Dwight Howard scored 14 points for the Magic but spent most of the second half in foul trouble, though Adonal Foyle stepped in and had eight points and 10 rebounds for the Magic.

LaMarcus Aldridge had 16 points and Martell Webster added 13 for the Blazers, who have lost five of their last six to the Magic.

Rockets 88, Clippers 71: At Los Angeles, Tracy McGrady scored 19 of his 36 points in the fourth quarter and Houston capitalized on a key injury to the Clippers, who lost point guard Sam Cassell early in the first quarter with a strained calf.

Warriors 129, Suns 114: At Oakland, Calif., Monta Ellis scored 15 consecutive points in the fourth quarter on the way to matching his career-high 31 points, and resurgent Golden State snapped Phoenix’s eight-game winning streak.

Kings 112, Spurs 99: At Sacramento, Calif., Beno Udrih scored a career-high 27 points against his former team while holding down Tony Parker on defense, and the Kings snapped San Antonio’s five-game winning streak.

Wizards 110, Mavericks 98: At Dallas, Caron Butler scored 35 points and Antawn Jamison added 27 to help Washington hand the Mavericks and Dirk Nowitzki, who scored 31, their first home loss of the season and third straight overall.

•Dallas coach Avery Johnson was fined $25,000 for failing to leave the court quickly and for verbal abuse of an official last week.

Timberwolves 103, Hornets 94: At New Orleans, Marko Jaric scored 21 points and Sebastian Telfair added 20 and Minnesota protected a big lead and beat the Hornets.

•Injured Wolves veteran center Theo Ratliff intends to visit another doctor this week for a third opinion on an injured knee that kept him out of the lineup for the fifth consecutive game.

Knicks 113, Jazz 109: At New York, Stephon Marbury scored a season-high 28 points, Zach Randolph added 25 points and 14 rebounds, and the Knicks beat Utah for their straight win.

Denver forward Kenyon Martin received some good news when an MRI on his surgically repaired right knee found only a bone bruise.
