Bazaars offer crafts, meals

Two more Spokane Valley churches are putting on bazaars to raise funds. The women of Spokane Valley United Methodist Church are putting on their annual “Holidays in the Valley” bazaar today from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the church, 115 N. Raymond Road. There will be crafts, baked goods, knife and scissor sharpening and more. Lunch items will be available for purchase from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit the national and international missions of the United Methodist Church.

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church will host its “Shop Till You Drop” bazaar next Saturday and Nov. 18. Hours for the event are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. next Saturday and 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 18. A spaghetti dinner will be served by donation beginning at 5 on Nov. 18. The church is at 2511 S. Pines Road.

Veterans Day services

The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection will host a guest preacher at the 8 and 10 a.m. services Sunday in honor of Veterans Day. The Rev. Jeff Neuberger, an Episcopal priest and Air Force chaplain, will speak. All are welcome to attend. The church is at 15319 E. Eighth.
