Edna (Kuest) Schimke Spokane

Memorial service for Edna A. (Kuest) Schimke, 91, is set for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Christ Lutheran Church in Odessa, Wash., where she formerly lived. Strate Funeral Home in Davenport, Wash., is charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Schimke, who died Tuesday, was born in Odessa.

She homemaker.

Her husband, Leo Schimke, died in 1987.

She is survived by one daughter, Janet Eaton of Overland Park, Kan.; two brothers, Oscar Kuest of Wenatchee and Leroy Kuest of Spokane; two sisters, Alma Smith of Bellevue, Wash., and Maude Giese of Spokane; three grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.

Opal Kitterman Spokane

Graveside service for Opal L. Kitterman, 91, is set for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fairmount Memorial Park. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Kitterman died Wednesday.

She was born Garnet, Mich.

She had lived in Spokane for 79 years and retired from the Postal Service after many years.

Mrs. Kitterman was preceded in death by two husbands, Ray Schreck and Ben Kitterman.

She is survived by one stepdaughter, Laverne Thompson of Redding, Calif.; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Spokane Humane Society.

Virginia Hoskins Cheney

Private service for Virginia Hoskins, 80, will be held. Cheney Funeral Chapel is in charge of cremation.

Mrs. Hoskins, who was born in Fairfield Township, N.J., died Thursday.

She had worked as an administrator in the medical field and moved to the Spokane area in 1974 from California.

Her husband, Clifton Hoskins, died in 1976.

She is survived by one son, John Hoskins of Cheney; one sister, Geraldine Coffee of Kingston, Tenn.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
