Schuh’s 36 Keys CV To Ot Win

Corby Schuh was 8 for 12 from 3-point range and scored 36 points as visiting Central Valley rallied to beat Richland 79-65 in overtime, Friday night in a non-league boys basketball game.

Central Valley (1-0) went ahead late in the fourth quarter after trailing 47-41, but David Lehrsall’s jumper sent the game into OT.

Richland (0-1) made just one of six free throws in the fourth quarter and OT, while CV was 11 for 18 over the same span.

Schuh shot 12 for 18 total from the floor.

Scott Stocum grabbed five rebounds in the first quarter to help the Saxons (1-0) take a 23-8 lead over the visiting Greyhounds (0-1).

Ferris shot 30 for 58 from the field, and was led by Stocum’s 22 points.

Pullman hit four 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to pull the Greyhounds within 16.

G-Prep’s Tyson Thielman held Mel Stubblefield to nine points after the second quarter, as the Bullpups rebounded from a 30-17 deficit.

G-Prep was 22 for 40 from the field in the second half.
