Body Of 17-Year-Old Found In Spokane River

A body discovered by a fisherman Sunday in the Spokane River near Nine Mile Falls has been identified as a 17-year-old Spokane boy.

The body of Kelly Levan Fletcher appears to match the “basic description” of a person a Spokane police officer saw jump off the Monroe Street Bridge on Feb. 1, Sheriff’s Lt. David Wiyrick said.

Wiyrick said authorities have found no missing person report on Fletcher, and still are investigating his death.

Fletcher’s body was found floating face down and appeared to have been in the water for some time, authorities said.
