Possibly the best of the historic wall signs is the old Snow Flake Saltines mural that faces the former Northern Pacific Railway main line tracks on the rail viaduct running through the south side of downtown. Passengers could see the big Nabisco sign as they arrived or departed from the historic NP depot at First and Bernard. The tracks are now the main line for BNSF and Union Pacific, which share track through Spokane under an agreement dating to Expo ‘74 when rail lines were pulled up along the river.
