Education: Graduated from Shadle Park High School in 2000. Graduated from Brigham Young University in Idaho in 2005 with a degree in psychology.
Work Experience: Worked out of her home since becoming a parent in 2007. Currently runs a permitted cottage bakery out of her home since January 2023. Became a Notary Public in 2022. Taught violin lessons from 2014-2021. Did interior design and home staging for on-market properties from 2019-2020.
Political Experience: Chair of Voice for Washington Children, advocacy group that petitioned to put Referendum 90 on 2020 ballots.
Family: Married to Tim Barker with four children all currently attending schools in the Central Valley district, but homeschooled in the 2020-2021 school year.
Campaign finance: Has raised just over $10,000 as of Sept. 18. Donations are largely from individual donors, including $200 from Rob Linebarger, petitioner of a failed recall attempt against the three incumbents in 2021; $1,200 each from James and Holly Mulloy; and $1,000 from Michael Dobson. Received $1,000 from Summit Engineering.

Education: Graduated from Fruitland High School in Idaho in 1976. Graduated from the University of Idaho in 1983 with a degree in bacteriology. Graduated from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987 with a doctorate in veterinary medicine.
Work experience: Has worked as a veterinarian at Pet Vet Hospital and Wellness Center since 1995. Worked as a veterinarian at Ashton-Clark Veterinary Practice in Idaho from 1988-1995. Worked as a veterinarian at Tolleson Animal Hospital in Arizona from 1987-1988.
Political experience: Elected to Central Valley School Board in 2007 and has served since. A member of Washington State School Directors Association, served on the WSSDA nominations committee from 2016-2022 and currently on the resolutions committee since 2022.
Family: Married to Shelly Clark. Has seven kids who all graduated from the district and nine grandchildren.
Campaign finance: Raised nearly $13,300 as of Sept. 18. Donations are largely from individual donors, including $1,200 from Geoffrey Batt; $1,200 from Paul Clay, who represented the three incumbents in a failed 2021 recall attempt; $1,200 each from Georgia and Maylyn Malquest; $1,000 from Scott Grimmett; $1,000 from former U.S. Ambassador Ryan Crocker; $65.50 from Debbie Long, another board member and incumbent in the race in her district; $500 from Teresa Landa, another board member not up for re-election. Also received $1,200 from Washington Education Association Political Action Committee, the statewide teachers’ union; and $450 from Spokane County Democrats Central Committee.
